Animal Farm

Frankly speaking, I don't really like the movie but I could not agree less on the messages that the author wants to convey in this story. For me, this story really pictured the situation of most of the politicians. The situation was portrayed by the characterization of the animals in the story. At first, they were managed by a human but they did not like the treatment that they received from him. So, one day they decided to demolish him and they set their own rules to manage the farm. The most powerful animals were the pigs. All the animals obeyed the pigs as they seem to be the cleverest among all of them as they knew how to write and read. However, there was a pig who did not agree with Snowball, the leader of the animals. He trained the puppies so that they would follow his orders when they grew up soon. when the time came, Snowball was chased away by Napoleon and he took the ruling. We can see in this situation whereby the pigs symbolizes the authority which are also the politicians before they took the ruling. The dogs symbolizes polices who follow the authority in most countries in the world. The pigs also have their own crony which they took care more than other animals although the others worked very hard. We can see that the pigs being unfair by giving education and advantages to all the pigs while in the same time other animals suffer as they have to do lots of works. the other animals are just like slaves to the pigs because only the pigs got all the specialties. It is very wise for the author to use animals as the characters because if he uses human, it might create controversy as it is very sensitive to talk about political issues in some countries like Malaysia. In the end, the animals wanted to change the authority as they did not get the benefit at all. This situation is similar to the political situation in our country as the opponents want to take over the ruling and becoming the new authority.
