Songs

Song can best describe things that happening around us as people around the world enjoy listening to music. It is one of the medium that can be used in the classroom to make teaching lively. Songs areasily integrated with the teaching if the teacher knows how to choose the types of songs that are suitable in the teaching. there are many songs that portrayed human rights, motivation, religious views and many other themes that seem familiar to the students. teachers should be creative in teaching the songs i the class. for examle, they can design engaging activities regarding the songs rather than to only answer the questions based on the songs.
our group has chosen a song by Linkin Park entitled 'What I've Done'. This is a good song as it conveys the situation around the world that we are facing nowadays like pollution, famine and wars. Through this song, the listeners will be aware of the current issues. Indirectly, they will learn the language. We could not agree less that students will enrich their vocabulary by listening to songs although some of the words used in the songs are improper. Students themselves should know how to select the appropriate songs for themselves.
